PRIME MINISTER: CLIMATE ACTION FOR CHILDREN EVERYWHERE IS NEEDED NOW

Climate change isn’t just warmer temperatures. For millions of children, it’s hunger – and it’s happening right now. Sign to demand action from the UK Government to protect children through the climate crisis.

Inequality and climate change are symptoms of a world that isn’t working for children – both here in the UK and overseas, too. And as you read this, it’s children with the least who are being hit the hardest.

Right now, communities across East Africa are being devastated by climate disasters. Heatwaves and droughts are increasing at an alarming rate. But when temperatures rise, crops fail - and children are being left dangerously malnourished.

Children shouldn’t be paying such a heavy price for a crisis they didn’t create.

The UK Government has the opportunity to take decisive action on climate change at COP27 this November. We’re calling on the Government to:

  1. Pay their fair share of financial support to combat climate change and create support for a new international pledge worth trillions.
  2. Fund strong children’s services to help stop the impacts of climate change on children’s education, health and nutrition.
  3. Guarantee support for communities most impacted by climate change by leading on developing a new loss and damage finance mechanism.

Will you join us? Sign now to demand the Government takes these 3 urgent steps to tackle climate change - because building a better future for children everywhere is possible.
