Tell your MP: call on the Prime Minister to ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements

Just like children across the UK, Kareem*, aged 16, loves playing football with his friends. But unlike children in the UK, he faces extreme, Israeli state-backed danger every day on his walk to school.

Why?

Because he is a Palestinian child living in the West Bank.

“It’s hard for me when I walk and encounter a settler shepherd on my way [to school],” he says. “He attacks and harasses me, even on the way back. Sometimes he hits me, takes my schoolbag, and tears up my textbooks.”

Khalid*, 15, from the south of the West Bank, was shot by settlers while he was in his village. This was not the first time he had been attacked by settlers. He told us he “saw death with his own eyes.”

On top of the devastation caused by living every day under occupation, illegal, state-backed Israeli settlements are destroying Palestinian childhoods

The UK’s new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has rightly acknowledged that the UK must put more pressure on the Israeli government, and is considering further action.

With your help, together we can ensure the Prime Minister makes good on his word and acts urgently to better protect Palestinian children – including by banning trade with illegal settlements.
