PENS FOR PEACE IN YEMEN

The UK Government is in a uniquely powerful position to help stop the war.

The UK is ‘pen holder’ on Yemen at the UN Security CouncilThat means that the UK has the power to draft Security Council products on Yemen, and can lead the way in forging a political solution to the conflict.

But for too long, the UK Government has not gone far enough in using these powers. Instead they have sold billions of pounds worth of weapons to several of the main parties to the fighting, helping to fuel the conflict.

The UK must speak up and use the power of their pen to bring peace to Yemen’s children, instead of continuing to supply weapons and allowing this brutal war to rage on.

The conflict in Yemen is complicated. But what we’re asking the UK Government is simple: Use the power of your pen at the UN to help deliver peace for children in Yemen.

Send a pen to ask our Government to use it for peace!

Together, we can show that words, not weapons, will bring peace to Yemen.

What should the UK write?

What will happen to my pen?
